How many cottages have you stayed in where you can see the sea from the front doorstep?

In fact, some of our guests have been known to make themselves a cup of tea to take with them when they stroll down to the beach!

On your way to the beach, you will pass Norfolk Gardens - a pleasant park with its mini-train, café, putting green and excellent views of the sea.

Another minute's walk brings you to the much-celebrated East Beach Café, which has attracted many visitors since it opened in 2007.

Should you wish to wander off the beaten track, turn left at the beach huts for part of the beach that branches off to Rustington.

Visitors with young children may prefer to continue past the East Beach Café to the well equipped, safe children's playground.

If you follow the promenade, you will soon come to the pretty riverside walk and the Look'n'Sea Centre/Harbour Lights Bistro, where you might like to stop for some refreshments and beautiful views.

Further Afield..

Rustington (5 minutes in a car; 10 minutes by bus) has an appealing selection of shops and a Somerfield's. For provisions you can either walk into Littlehampton for the town-centre Sainsbury's or Somerfield's, or, drive to Tesco (Littlehampton) or Sainsbury's (Rustington by-pass).

Historic Arundel, of Wetland and Castle fame, is an attractive village with a variety of shops and restaurants and pubs to cater for all tastes.

Worthing prides itself on its shopping and entertainment facilities, and has a pleasant beach-side walking/cycling path. It can be reached by car (30 minutes) along the coastal road. Alternatively, there are good rail and bus links.

Brighton is also easily accessible by bus, train or car.

Chichester is an historic and attractive town, providing opportunities to indulge in culture (Chichester Festival Theatre, Pallant House Gallery) and history, as well as many outlets for some satisfying retail therapy. It also has a varied selection of restaurants, pubs, tea-rooms and coffee bars.

Finally, if you would like to spend a day in the capital, trains run from Littlehampton to London Victoria.
